Woops....in the dragons dogma thread just above this story I said Capcom's only good choice this gen was having ANOTHER developer make the next DMC............but I see they are now taking back that good choice and sticking their idiotic, bad decision making noses in on this too.

Sorry Ninja Theory..........your new DMC could have had you 2-3, batting .600 for masterpiece games. But with Capcom's help, it looks like you may end up 2-3 for mediocre drivvel.

Personally I would never call Dragon's Dogma a "Japanese Skyrim". I would call it "Half-Assed Monster Hunter".

That's exactly what it is. Dragon's Dogma is Monster Hunter without the excelence of Monster Hunter's online. Which to me means simply, that Dragon's Dogma is a complete waste of a game regardless of even if's actually good for what it is. Because it's a completely wasted opportunity.

No matter how good...

Well actually, I am a core gamer. And as an informed core gamer that cares about the industry at least somewhat I don't support Gamestop. But that being said, I will still pre-order brand new games there.

Gamestop USED to be the ONLY place to pre-order. It's only fairly recenly that we've even been able to pre-order from other retail places. And the fact is, even though I can't stand Gamestop because of their rediculous greed in the used games market, they do ...

You're right......and you're wrong.

A used games market IS in gamer's best interests. Yup........I have no issue with that. But Gamestop's business practices in that used games market are NOT in gamer's best interests. At least not anymore. They sold us out for profits once they had their monopoly.

It can be summed up easily. Back in the day when Champions of Norrath 2 came out for PS2, I traded in the first game the same day. They gave me...

Hmmmmm. Interesting. If by chance this is what Sony's working on as their "PS4".......the headset alone sounds like the tech inside of it would be pretty expensive. This headset alone to me sounds like it would be well over $200 USD maybe even over $250 just based on Vita's cost. A powerfull console to go along with this headset I think would be at least another $300 and that would be low.

But Sony learns their lessons well. They wouldn't make the same p...

I'm a huge PS fan. It's basically my only brand for gaming. But for me.....this list is pretty lame, just for my taste in gaming that is.

I don't know about anyone else, but really, as of now this is going to be a really slow gaming year for me. Though E3 could obviously change my whole outlook on the Fall.

Right now I'm only really excited for the console version of WrestleFest, The Walking Dead, Last of Us and maybe the Double Dragon remake....

If you're talking about the PS3 version, you don't have to turn off your wi-fi. Skyrim updates are optional. Just hit O instead of X and the game starts up with what you've got.

I'm still on version 1.02 and I've never had to turn off my wi-fi.

Meanwhile my PS3 copy of Skyrim is still playing on 1.02 and I continue to have no problems. I was experiencing none of the issues people online have been complaining about since like day 1 aside from the framerate drops then 1.02 helped that alot. I have had no issues since then and have declined to update every time I boot up the game.

For me, if it ain't broke, don't fix it, and I'm glad I took that route because every update since then seems to have made thing...

Well, TBH I believe Killzone 2/3 still holds that crown, but Rage is 2nd.

I think in a still capture, one could argue RAGE looks better. But I think as a whole package and in-motion so to speak, Killzone 2/3 is the over-all better looking product (on consoles).

I'm with all of you people. I absolutely loved RAGE. Like the other person said, it's one of those games I'd probably never get rid of.

And I don't think you're biased because your a PC gamer (at least not on this issue). I think it has to do more with being an "old school" gamer. Because for me, as an older gamer RAGE was the first FPS that brought me right back to the feeling I had playing the original DOOM games since actually playing DOOM 2. ...

That's pretty much what it is. That's what this company's known for. The newer Sam and Max games, Back to the Future, Jurrasic Park, now this. If you like those kinds of games you'll like this. If you're a Walking Dead fan, you'll LOVE it. I'm both. I absolutely can't wait for this.

I've been lucky as a PlayStation Plus member because I've gotten every game I listed above for free. I'd gladly pay for this but if Sony and Telltale gi...

I was personally REALLY looking forward to this game, and I still would be if Capcom didn't make the dumb choice to NOT have online co-op. The game is perfectly set up for 4 player online co-op. It's basically the same idea as Monster Hunter online, they game really makes no sense to not have online. And people interested in this game, like me have been demanding the game have online co-op since it was anounced last E3 when Capcom said then it wasn't online. So there would have be...

I already said I won't click on his articles anymore. So you aren't being smart by saying I didn't watch the video. No ****!! I already said that. Good job reading before you reply.......hypocrite much?

I didn't say just because a game's unique it's automatically good. Wanna quote where I said that Mr. Quotey? But when a unique game comes out that is good in nearly every way......like Heavy Rain........this jerk goes out of his way to bash the hell out...

Welll.....*I* didn't click on it, I don't know about him. I already know EXACTLY what to expect from anything Jim Sterling says.

That being said........you're right. But because of what you're right about, I disagree with what you're saying. (though I don't click agree or disagree at all on this site. I disagree with my words, not clicks)

You're right that no video game "journalist" gets "fanboys" more riled up ...

Exactly. This guy claims he wants new and different experiences, yet when something completely new and original.....something never been done before.....and something that does that and still turns out a masterpiece.......something like Heavy Rain comes out, and this tool reviews it and gives it a 6 or 7 or whatever he gave it. Just rips the game apart.

Look at any of his reviews for unique new gaming experiences, games that tend to be PS3 exclusive or timed. He bashes them a...

Final Fantasies have had lame stories before. I honestly don't think that's something exclusive to post-10 FFs. 5 and 8 come instantly to mind.

I think the only reason FF fans have been displeased with the series since 10 is due to really the only thing that's changed.......the gameplay. I'm not sure why Square felt they needed to so radically change the FF gameplay formula the way they have. They've turned it into another game and just kept the name.

Well, fair enough. And I doubt there's convincing you otherwise if you're more interested in a sports game than a narrative based game.

But that being said, if you're more interested in a $60 sports game than one of the greatest story based games ever made for $20......I'm curious why you'd say you're looking forward to Quantic Dreams next game because they certainly aren't working on the next Madden or bringing back World Series Baseball. They'...

Go buy Heavy Rain. You can get it for $20 new at this point at Wal-Mart or anyplace else with a video game bargain-bin. Trust me, as someone who easily get's distracted by other games, I guarantee that you will not put that game down for at least 1 full playthrough, and chances are you won't put it down until you see that trophy pop up telling you that you've seen all 22 of the ending segments.

If you like "story-based games", there's not a single ga...

I'm right with you. Heavy Rain is by far the #1 most immersive video game I've ever experienced in my entire life as a gamer going back to the Atari days. Just an amazing interactive journey. And an emotional roller-coaster ride.

Only 2 games in history have ever actually emotionally touched me. Shadow of the Colossus, which literally made me depressed when I thought about killing all those creatures. And Heavy Rain which just dragged me through just about every sing...
